Joe Ordia and the CPOF Frontline Team in Baghdad
Ordia Solutions is the pioneer and leading provider of mobile command & control systems for homeland security and public safety agencies. Ordia Solutions’ Mobile Tactical Collaboration System™ (MTCS) is a web-based software application that allows operators to communicate and collaborate visually in real-time using tactical graphics, digital maps, and shared workspaces to enable highly effective command & control without ever having to setup a physical command post

The company’s two founders, Joe Ordia and Pedro Martinez, are veterans of the U.S. Army’s “Command Post of the Future” (CPOF) program, the Army's primary command & control system for medium-to-large large units.  The program succeeded in developing technologies that allow US military ground forces to conduct effective command & control without ever having to bring commanders to the same physical location.  There are currently over 800 CPOF systems in use supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Mr. Ordia, formerly the Lead Engineer of the program, is an expert in modern command & control systems. His team received two agency-level awards for their contributions to the CPOF program. After having spent most of 2004-2005 in Baghdad, Iraq deploying Command Post of the Future technology to the US Army and Marine Corps, Mr. Ordia and his partner formed Ordia Solutions to bring similar capabilities to serve the missions of public safety and homeland security.
